Day 2 & 3 of IPP
Day 2
Went to work in at the same timing BUT this time, I da bao-ed Mr Bean!! *not that Mr Bean from the comedy, but Mr Bean from Dhoby Exchange* I was rather well prepared with a water bottle and some sweets to refresh my mind of ideas to get the key words in searching for websites, sadly, the plan back fired as I drank too much water and went to the toilet every 1 hour -.- But I also learnt lots of things through the time, the importance of finding the correct market segment to target, e.g. the correct website that the parents will be in when they search for events.
Other than that, Joanne told me to prepare a telemarketing script which for the first time in my life I have to prepare one myself. From the script, I learnt that telemarketing script is meant to be short with full details of what I want to promote, people only want to hear the right things for that short timing.
Day 3
Woke up rather late cause I wanted to try to reach on the dot, so I left home 10 mins later, ate breakfast at Dhoby Exchange, queue for Mr Bean before taking 14 to work, I still reach at the same timing. Thank God! He allows me to be early for work =] all His blessings in disguise =] So the start of day 3 work, I updated the web with Great Eastern Women 10K run before Joanne told me to look for 3 quotation from various company on balloon arch, stage & SMS blast. From there, I learnt that looking for quotations is not as easy as you think as you have to call the person and sometimes email them to get your quotations. SMS Blast is a good form of marketing to reach out to people who are unaware of the events upcoming.
While waiting for the quotations to be back tml, Joanne then sent me a list of primary school, to update the database of contact, contact person and email so that we can target them for the Cold Storage Kids Run. 130 Primary School, 97 done, 33 to go... BUT! It is not the end...
I still have secondary school to do tml, along with the quotations and also the events to be posted online... God please be with me as I walk through this tasks...
*Now I understand the chapter in Marketing Management, on Database, why is it so important =]*
Side track... Did I mention about the Yakult vending machine at my workplace? No? Guess what? They just restocked it!!! WOO HOO!!

& here is how far I need to walk to my bus stop to get home...
